De uit Philadelphia afkomstige maar in New Jersey geboren DJ en producer DJ Haram, verbindt de dansmuziekgeschiedenis van deze twee scènes met haar eigen roots. Wanneer Zubyeda Muzeyyen onder haar alias in de booth stapt, gooit ze haar bas-zware kijk op Jersey club, booty bounce, en mahraganat. Als producer vond haar kenmerkende geluid een uitlaatklep in de vorm van haar EP "Grace" die op Hyperdub verscheen. Naast de Amerikaanse clubscene is DJ Haram betrokken bij de DIY noise scene in Philadelphia, een kant van haar vak die duidelijker wordt door haar werk met Moor Mother. Hun samenwerking als 700 Bliss is een vruchtbare en politieke eenwording van noise, rap, poëzie, en beats.

Brussels-based DJ, promoter, Kiosk radio host, and member of the Psst Mlle & Club Détour collectives, Soumaya Phéline isn’t here to make crowds feel comfortable. Instead, she constantly toys with dancefloor expectations by drawing from various electronic sub-genres – never quite giving you the kick, climax or gulp of air you thought you needed or asked for. Heavy with bass, breaks, mesmerizing melodies and rhythmic vocals, Soumaya’s sets distort and disturb in a way that’s strangely satisfying.

Dancehall en dubby breaks: de van Marokko-afkomstige Ojoo Gyal maakt het tot haar eigen stijl. In 2019 zette deze ze haar eerste stappen in het circuit op Noord-Afrikaanse podia als Atlas Electronic en Moga. Kort daarna verhuisde ze naar Brussel en ontwikkelde haar talent verder in de West-Europese scene. Haar mixen gaan van old-school dancehall over hedendaagse vormen daarvan, naar heavy dub, bass, breaks, baile funk, en andere radicale twists.
