Espace Fxmme: Getting Softer by Globe Aroma

Getting Softer is een reeks workshops rond verschillende textieltechnieken in de artistieke werk- en ontmoetingsplaats Globe Aroma. Elke donderdag wordt er samengekomen in het kader van Espace Fxmme, met als doel een zachtere manier te creëren om mensen te verwelkomen.
Globe Aroma is met deze workshops gestart in het najaar van 2021 en de deelnemers hebben ondertussen een reeks patchwork-gordijnen (ook kussens en tapijten) ontworpen, om zo op een zachte, vrouwelijke en vloeiende manier de ruimte van Globe Aroma in te richten.
De tapijten kunnen ook als een nomadische ruimte bestaan: in de vorm van een tent die rondreist en een veilige, intieme uitwisselingsruimte biedt aan vrouwen en non-binaire personen in de publieke ruimte, kunstinstellingen en wxmen spaces.
