BLEDARTE COLLECTIVE
Als je het Bledarte collectief nog niet kent, ben je waarschijnlijk nog nooit naar Beursschouwburg gekomen én is vanavond je kans om hun mad music skills van dichtbij te beleven. Bledarte heeft elke denkbare hoek van ons gebouw al ontelbare keren in vuur en vlam gezet met eclectische sets, DJ workshops voor vrouwen en non-binary people en onlangs nog met reading groups van activistische literatuur. De rode draad door het werk van dit intersectionele, Brusselse collectief is “mentaliteiten dekoloniseren door middel van kunst en cultuur”. Perfect om je muzikale zomer te kickstarten.

BRYN
BRYN (spreek uit “brain”) is 19 jaar oud en brengt nu al mature, gelaagde synth-pop. Hij vluchtte zeven jaar geleden uit Rwanda, kwam terecht in een Brussels centrum voor asielzoekers en begon er – tegen het advies van leraren en ouders in – zijn muzikale droom na te jagen. In 2011 schreef BRYN zijn eerste song, in 2013 leerde hij zichzelf gitaar spelen en later ook de synthesizer die hij van een vriend kreeg. Daarop componeerde hij zijn debuutsingle, het doorleefde ‘Take Me There’. Op de opening night van Out Loud brengt BRYN gloednieuw werk naar de Zilveren Zaal.

ANGEL-HO
The South African Angel-Ho makes captivating queer hip hop for an all-out clubbing experience. With a dark and fluorescent aesthetic and a hard industrial sound, she takes themes like transgender identity, oppression, solidarity and rebellion by the horns. Angel-Ho was one of the founders of NON Worldwide, an artistic collective of the South African diaspora. After the excellently received EPs ‘Ascension’ (2015) and ‘Emancipation’ (2016), in March 2019 she dropped her first album – ‘Death Becomes Her’ – and it’s absolutely dripping with ambition. High time for a banging post-binary summer party.

WUTANGU
Wutangu is coming to round off the opening night of Out Loud in style with a scorching-hot DJ set. This Brussels-based, Swiss-Angolan DJ is one of the driving forces behind the collectives Bledarte and Leaving Living Dakota. Her sets combine music from Africa, South America and the Caribbean with rap and techno vibes. The perfect way to kick-start your musical summer!
