Nice loud experiments somewhere between music, performance, visual art, Rotterdam and Brussels.
Futura Resistenza is a label and platform based in Brussels and Rotterdam, working at the intersection of performance, music, and visual arts. Tonight's lineup brings together musicians and artists connected to the label, as well as those they simply admire and wish to see perform. Expect music with a high dose of performance, sound art with a high dose of music, and short films by American noise artist Bromp Teb with a high dose of sound art. Or something like that.

Laszlo Umbreit & Eitan Efrat
Laszlo Umbreit and Eitan Efrat will perform Là, an immersive, politically charged sound journey – a lament for the Al Naqab desert in Palestine. Created in the context of the exhibition Là by Sirah Foighel Brutmann and Eitan Efrat at S.M.A.K Gent in 2024, and afterwards released by Futura Resistenza, the album blends flutes and cymbals with processed mechanical sounds. Bromp Treb
Since 2002, Los Angeles-based artist and filmmaker Neil Young, aka Neil ‘Cloaca’ Young, has been performing and recording as Bromp Treb, a nonsense onomatopoeia for the rattling windows of a jalopy with an overenthusiastic subwoofer. Young’s sounds and performances reflect refined dysfunction and eager uncertainty, created through an improvised mix of crooked rhythms, tangled textures, voice/body, synthesis, tapes, percussion, and occasional physical comedy. Bromp Treb has many recordings in circulation and has performed at arts institutions, schools, basements, bars, lofts, galleries, and closets across North America and Europe. In addition to his live performance as Bromp Treb, a selection of Neil’s films will be shown continuously in the basement cinema from 17:00 to 23:00.
