Radio Hito + Suzan Peeters
Two times less is sooooooo much more.
€18 at the door
These two Brussels-based minimalists couldn't be more different AND couldn't be a better match. Radio Hito places her own voice in the middle, while finding the words in the (translated!) poetry of another. Suzan Peeters lets her accordion “speak” sounds never heard before, in a way that is completely her own.
But if you are looking (listening?) for music you have never heard before, and can’t hear anywhere else, both of them play what you seek. Sit down, float away, as time stops and accelerates at once. Welcome to the heart of Our House <3

Radio Hito creates fantastical, mirage-like songs, intimate yet elusive. Like a forlorn chanson for the digital age, Radio Hito brings her haunting vocalisations into conversation with MIDI soundfonts and humble-yet-deep casio compositions. Music that strides for simplicity, yet lands miraculously within an entire new universe.
Her spare arrangements with a voice suspended between recital, fm transmission and canzone reaches new heights on her latest album L’uso e gli attributi del cuore, co-released by Maple Death & Meakusma. Inspired by the italian libretto of French poet Claude Royet-Journoud’s 2021 book L'usage et les attributs du cœur, Radio Hito’s ten songs unfold with devastating clarity, rooted in the lineage of the art song and song cycle: open structures, close attention to language, and a live performance that places the voice at the heart of the stage.

Although it was her first release, Peeters is already recognized as one of the most promising names in Belgium’s experimental music scene.
