The theme of Heritage Day 2012 is heroes. What do heroes have to say about our society? What does it mean to put someone on a pedestal? What motivation sparks it? A critical panel, including Dan Hassler-Forest (Antwerp University) and Bruno De Wever (Ghent University) led by Sven Speybrouck, take a look behind the scenes at heroism. In addition, Saskia de Coster will award the jury and audience prize to the winner of the hero contest and will recite an epic poem to the winner!
