For the launch of Kiki Kiosk in Beursschouwburg, Marthe Huyse will introduce her research on body extensions through "Een tafel voor twee". "Een tafel voor twee" is the carrier of her visual research showcasing how different (groups of) people extend their bodies. By putting our bodies in a fixed position — creating a field of tension and expanding our bodies — space is created to use the body as a tool; as a vehicle for thoughts, radical thinking and resistance. Marthe will give a short introduction about their research and in the course of the evening initiate and moderate conversations through "Een tafel voor twee". 

Marthe Huyse is a multidisciplinary graphic designer currently pursuing their master's degree at KASK in Ghent. She's passionate about books; how they are and can be shared, revisited, rewritten, reinterpreted. She intermingles these thoughts with her fascination for the body; fashioning the body, imagery, identity and gender performativity.
