In het voorjaar van 2018 is dat Helgi Thórsson (°1975). Geboren in IJsland, maar woont ondertussen in Antwerpen. Zijn voorgangers waren Jóhanna Kristbjörg Sigurðardóttur, Fiona Mackay, Julien Meert, Denie Put, Nel Aerts, Atelier Pica Pica, Michaël Van den Abeele en Céline Butaye.
Thórssons werk herken je aan een ruwe, ietwat onhandige afwerking, het vernis van excentrieke kleuren, bizarre humor, cheesy nostalgie en de oprechte overtuiging dat kunst iets goeds kan teweegbrengen bij de toeschouwer. Het voorjaar van 2018 wordt alvast een kleurrijke streling voor uw oog!
