Jeremy Wade / The Battlefield Nurse Technologies of Impossible Repair (Love is not romance honey!)
In times of crisis the Battlefield Nurse prescribes a social political strategy. She calls it ‘love’. But it won’t work if love is mired in sticky romance and cheap lockets – hemmed into the incestuous circle of normative relations. We need love to serve as a force of interdependence among intimate strangers and all earthly creatures. Sing it!!
Avec son alter ego drag, Jeremy Wade se demande comment émanciper les soins du futur afin de répondre aux problèmes très urgents d’aujourd’hui. C’est pour cette raison que la Battlefield Nurse a créé la Future Clinic For Critical Care, un forum performatif rassemblant théoriciens, assistants sociaux, personnel de soins, bénéficiaires de soins et le public présent afin de spéculer sur l’avenir des soins.

Jeremy Wade est un performeur et chorégraphe américain qui vit et travaille à Berlin. Son œuvre est à la fois corporelle et conceptuelle, et analyse la manière de laquelle les queers et les féministes aident à donner forme à la société. Trois semaines après la lecture d’ouverture, ce sera la première belge de sa performance The Clearing à Beursschouwburg.
Alors que The Battlefield Nurse ouvrira le programme WE LOVE YOU, Drag Mother sera la séance de clôture. Ces deux personnages attentionnés enlacent donc pour ainsi dire maternellement l'entièreté du programme.
