Dag van de dans: Liz Kinoshita VOLCANO
En 2010, l’éruption du volcan islandais Eyjafjallajökull et la paralysie totale de l’espace aérien qui s’ensuivit, ont poussé Kinoshita à réfléchir à la facilité avec laquelle nous parcourons le monde de nos jours.
Dans VOLCANO, elle emploie des mécanismes des genres musicaux des années 30 à 50 afin de traduire la vie mouvementée des performeurs contemporains et des globe-trotters.
VOLCANO aborde le style de vie, les tournées et les voyages qui sont nécessaires à la réalisation de performances. Mais il s’intéresse également aux réflexions qui surgissent lorsqu’une éruption de volcan nous force à rester au sol.

Liz Kinoshita was born in Canada and moved to Europe in 2002 to further study and work. In 2004 Liz participated in DanceWEB during the ImpulsTanz Festival in Vienna, Austria. She then studied in P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels, Belgium from 2004-2008.
