Beursschouwburgers,

How are things with you all?
We miss you so bad …

This year there’ll be no cheering from the roof terrace, no OutLoud concerts this June, no springtime of yes-to-performances, exhibitions and films, no lively discussions and steamy parties. But since summer’s gone sour, let’s reinvent autumn. During this time of solidarity we are listening out for the unknown. We’re thinking, dreaming and reflecting about coming together again.

In the meanwhile at Beursschouwburg our partner-neighbours Globe Aroma, Hobo and Cultureghem have been running a hub for people without a roof over their heads. And have you already heard about this tool from State of the Arts that facilitates person-to-person financial solidarity? Find out now how you can offer / receive help.

Finally, some wise lockdown words by Céline Gillain, who was warmly received in the Zilveren Zaal last February and is now our artist-in-residence-from-a-distance. And a gentle meditation on the topic of touch in the public space by Rosana Cade. Just before the lockdown Rosana led us hand-in-hand through Brussels … So far away and yet so close <3
