Contemporary rituals of healing and rebirth.

In 'HOME IS WHERE THE WORK STARTS 1988', three generations of Georgia Lucas - Going’s family, including the artist herself, are seen mourning the loss of their greatest loves. In the first scene, the artist’s mother embraces the clothes of her late husband in her back garden and is joined by Georgia and her grandmother. According to Lucas - Going, “the outside is where we do most of our healing. It’s where things are planted, rooted and reborn.”

Since the passing of her father, the London-based video and performance artist has become interested in all manner of healing methods from across the globe.

As part of ‘We Love You’, a multidisciplinary programme on love beyond the romantic and the self - sep oct nov dec 2019.
